Welcome to the Ruru class blog for 2019! We are really excited that you have decided to follow our journey of fun and learning.
We are an energetic bunch of Year 4, 5 and 6 students all from different backgrounds, families and countries!
Our teachers are Miss McCormick, Mrs North, Mr Williams, Mr Barrow, Mrs T.
Our new school is sooo cool and we are really excited to be here. Maybe sometime we will be able to make a video tour to show you around sometime.. or you can just come and visit us!!
Here is a picture of our learning space with some of our friends from the gym that Miss McCormick goes to. They came all the way over from F45 Papanui to visit us and to play some basketball with us on Wednesday at lunchtime! It was so much fun.. the teachers won.. but it was so much fun to play against them!

I think it was really cool that your teachers play basketball with you.
There's a Mrs T at our school as well and we think it might be the same Mrs T at your school. She is a part time teacher here. Is she a part time teacher at your school? Her name is Jacqui and she is really cool.
I think that we could make a video to show you around our school too as your idea sounds fantastic!
We noticed that there are 5 teachers in your class, how many classrooms and students are in Ruru?

YES.. I think it is the same Mrs T. We heard that she was doing awesome things at Hornby Primary from Miss Morgan who takes us for Chromebook stuff! She is part time here as well, she teaches for Mr Williams when he is out of the classroom and also for Miss McCormick when she is out of the classroom!
Yes.. we always have 3 teachers in the classroom everyday. Plus we have some pretty cool teacher aides too! They are Nicole, Michelle, Jenny, Muriel and Petra. Do you have any teacher aides in your classroom too?
We are 1 big learning space.. so one BIG class!
