This week we have been working on poetry with Mr Williams, Miss McCormick and Mrs T.
We looked at Haiku poems and learnt all about syllables and how to write a Haiku using the 5, 7, 5 rule. Then we looked at Acrostic poems and started to write Acrostic poems that were based on Easter!

ReplyDeleteLearning poetry is such a fun way to get to know vocabulary and explain ideas in a precise way. Your selection of different types of poetry was interesting to read and well presented on your slide! It caught my eye by being bright and engaging!
What dod you think about writing poetry? Was it something you enjoyed doing? Did you have any challenges or struggles?
