Malakai's Descriptive Story About An Orca

Jordan and the Orca By Malakai

Jordan and the ORCA by Malakai Jordan was sitting in the small dinghy fishing.Suddenly Jordan saw a massive killer whale.Jordan slowly rowed away from the massive mammal.Jordan hoped that the large orca wouldn’’t flip over the dinghy.The orca didn’t seem interested and turn back and disappear into the green murky water.Then all of a sudden the orca shoot out of the water and did a massive dive.Water splashed everywhere.Jordan was cold and wet.The waves shook around the dinghy.The orca finally swam away from the small dinghy. Jordan then got up and keeped on rowing.Jordan felt scared,cold,wet,but also amazed.This was the first time Jordan ever saw a massive killer whale.

We like how you included lots of precise vocabulary words (for example dingy, orca, mammal, rowing) in your story. We are learning about precise vocabulary words too in our instructional writing. It is important to use them in your writing because it ensures you use words that relate to your topic. We were wondering if you had ever seen an orca whale yourself? Next time you could add some more punctuation for example ellipses to create some emphasis.
