Mrs Thoms explained what we had to do.. first we had to do a brainstorm about Mia. Then a brainstorm about Mungo. Then a brainstorm about what our story was going to include. We talked all about why it's important to plan so that we can always go back to it for ideas, change ideas, use ideas and if we forget something!
Check out some of the pictures we used of Mia and Mungo and also some of our ideas on our plans!

ReplyDeleteWe found your post very interesting. Your brains must be tired after all that brainstorming! This is helpful for us because we are about to start writing stories as well next week. We are practising writing adjectives to make our writing more interesting. Have you met Mungo or Mia?
Hi Ruru,
ReplyDeleteIt was very exciting for us to find out about your new name and secret sneaky wedding. Another big congratulations from us and thank you for sharing your exciting news with us.
It looks like you have got a lot of descriptive words in your brainstorm including 'emotion' words. We are also learning how to include emotions in our writing. We all agree that having a good base of ideas makes for a much better piece of writing. We have been developing our planning and writing for nearly two weeks now!
Your dog Mungo looks so cute! He looks exactly the same as Cooper, Miss Morgan's dog. Are they the same breed? How old is Mungo? ...and why did you call him Mungo?
Your cat, Mia's black coat looks like it would get very warm and snuggly in the sun.
We would love to see some of your pieces of writing about them when they are ready!
All the best,
Room 6
Hi I like your photos. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ruru. We are from Punui-o-toka at South Hornby. We loved how you planned out your writing first. We liked how you had questions in your brainstorm to find more information for the story. We liked seeing the pictures of the animals. Lots of us have got pets at home too. Maybe next time you could include the start of some of your stories and add the finished stories in another time. Have you had time to complete your stories yet?
